Frequently Asked Questions

I normally stay in hotels during my trips abroad. Why should I stay in an AllMinskRent apartment during my visit to Minsk? What are the advantages?
If you ever stayed in a hotel in Belarus and already looked through apartments for rent in Minsk by AllMinskRent, you will probably not ask yourself such a question. If not... Here are some main advantages:
  • An AllMinskRent apartment will cost you about 40-70% less than a fair single room in a hotel in Minsk.
  • Homelike atmosphere, furniture, comfort and cosiness, all necessary facilities including fridge, stove and kitchen utensils.
  • Inviolable privacy, freedom and possibility to invite and entertain your guests at any time...
  • An opportunity to feel home far away from home.

Where are AllMinskRent apartments situated? Is it nice and safe area? Are there any restaurants, shops, markets, night clubs, theatres etc. close?
All our apartments are situated in the center of Minsk, close to subway as a rule. It will take you 3-15 minutes to get to many shops, restaurants, clubs, museums, theatres, concert halls etc. on foot or with subway, let alone taxi.

The area where AllMinskRent apartments are located is really nice, beautiful and very safe. In general, Minsk is actually safer than many other big cities in Europe or US. But you shouldn't be careless and forget precautions, of course. Keep your apartment door always locked and watch your wallet when you are out.

Am I obliged to have medical insurance for my travel to Belarus? Where can I get it? What does it cost?
All foreign citizens traveling to Belarus are required to have medical insurance valid during the period of stay by the Belarussian law. The medical insurance agreement can be concluded with a Belarussian or a foreign insurance company and should cover the insurance cases established by the Law of the Republic of Belarus. The minimum insurance limit of responsibility is five thousand USD. You do not have to produce the insurance certificate to the Embassy when applying for visa. But it will be required for your registration in Belarus.

You can acquire medical insurance with an insurance company at the national airport upon arrival to Minsk, or AllMinskRent staff will help you to get it later in Minsk (in last case an extra fee of 5 EUR is charged).

Cost of medical insurance depends on duration of your stay. For example, it will cost you 2 USD if you spend in Belarus 3-4 days, 5 USD if you stay 9-10 days, 15 USD if you stay 30-31 days etc. You can find all insurance rates here.

What is registration of foreigners traveling to Belarus? Is it necessary for me? Do you provide the registration? What does it cost?
In accordance with Decree no.73 dtd. January 20, 2006 by Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus "About approval of Rules of stay of foreigners and stateless citizens in the Republic of Belarus" all foreigners arriving in Belarus must be registered at a local police station within 3 working days. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services.

From previous experience we know that often foreigners are required to present the registration document at the border when leaving Belarus. Failure to register may result in penalties and possible problems with future entries to Belarus. We strongly recommend you to complete this procedure.

AllMinskRent can provide foreign guests with the registration upon arrival. The service costs 30 EUR and doesn't depend on duration of your stay. If you travel to Belarus up to 3 days, registration is not required.
